I would like to inform you the 3rd Int. Summer School on "3D Modeling in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage" which will take place in Durham (UK) on 17-20 June, 2010. The school is co-organized by Fabio Remondino (FBK Trento, Italy), Danny Donoghue (Durham University, UK) and Jon Mills (Newcastle University, UK). The School aims to bring together young scientists, developers and advanced users from geomatics and related fields of application (photogrammetry, remote sensing, LiDAR, GIS, Cultural Heritage, archaeology, environmental monitoring and mapping) to study and discuss the latest developments in digital recording and 3D modeling of complex objects and sites, with emphasis on those of Cultural Heritage value. The labs (based on open-source and commercial software installed on local PCs) will deal with satellite and terrestrial image processing and 3D modeling, LiDAR and terrestrial scanning, GIS.
Certificates of participation and ECTS credits will be delivered upon request and agreements with the organizers. The REGISTRATION FEE of the school is 250 £ and it includes the participation to labs and theoretical lectures, the material of the lectures, the welcome party and the social dinner of the event. The DEADLINE for the registration is May 2nd, 2010. Please send an email to remondino@fbk.eu with a CV in attachment. The selection of the participants will be based on the CV and on the criteria first-come first-serve.
